The Indiana Scheduled Prescription Electronic Collection and Tracking (INSPECT) Program is Indiana’s prescription drug monitoring program administered by the Indiana Board of Pharmacy. The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute will partner with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA), which oversees INSPECT’s day-to-day operations, and the Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction to enhance INSPECT by providing better training resources, better access to INSPECT for some rural dispensers, and production and dissemination of educational materials mainly about new INSPECT integration software. The project will include online tutorials, webinars, improved access for rural pharmacies, and a multimedia campaign to spread awareness. IPLA and INSPECT staff members will gather and report data performance measurements from the INSPECT database.
