The Camden County Department of Corrections is collaborating with the Camden County Office of Mental Health and Addiction, One Stop Resource Center, and multiple criminal justice and community programs to implement the Camden County Opioid Abuse Diversion (CCOAD) Program. The CCOAD Program is conducting a system assessment of the Camden County Correctional Facility’s population to document the extent to which the incarcerated population suffers from opioid addiction. The results of this assessment will be used to inform the revision and/or development of new policies and practices to address treatment needs and service gaps. The CCOAD Program also will establish programming for individuals with opioid addiction who are supervised on pretrial release and sentenced individuals about to reenter the community, including assisting with reentry planning and providing wraparound services to support linkage to community-based treatment services.
